Top 5 Summer Essentials
I've decided to round up a list of my top products for making these hot summer months a little more bearable!
My first essential is obvious, but sooo very necessary and that is sunscreen. No one hates sunscreen more than I do, but because I'm so fair-skinned I just have to grin and bear the process of applying it every time I'm out in the sun. I found the Coppertone Sport AccuSpray at the beginning of this summer, and it's made the process a bit less cringe worthy. It's easy to spray, doesn't feel sticky like most lotions, and doesn't have that awful sunscreen smell.
There's nothing worse than being out in the sun with dry lips and no lip balm! I love this one from Baby Lips because it has SPF 20 and it's minty. Plus, the cap has that nice clicking noise so I know it's not going to fall off and get lip balm on everything.
Let's face it. Big handbags are cute, but it's just too hot during these summer months to lug around an unnecessary amount of stuff. So my next essential is a small hangbag. This one is by Liz Claiborne and I got it on sale for $10 at JCPenney's. It's the perfect size for my wallet, keys, phone, etc. and I can just throw it over my shoulder without it slowing me down or getting in the way.
Of course you can't forget about those sunnies! These are just a simple, cheap pair that are easy to throw in my purse and that I'm not afraid to break or lose. And FYI, my neck is two different colors because of a previous sunburn, so once again, don't forget the sunscreen!
Last but not least (because this is my favorite essential) is a pair of neutral sandals. Sure, you can opt for flip flops, but personally I'm not a fan and I find these look a little classier. Plus, they're black and brown so they basically match everything and they were only $9 at Payless!
