Well October is out, November is in. My apologies for the lack of posting during October. Midterm exams and my speech class took over most of my time, but I only have 8 days of class left, so soon I'll be posting like crazy! Anyway, we'll be hear Christmas carols before you know it and all of the holiday sales will surround us. And I couldn't be more excited. So, as goes with the beginning of another month, I've rounded up all of the things I loved during the month of October. I'm assuming it's because so many brands launch new lines during the fall, but the passes 30 days, I seem to have acquired a lot of new items I just can't seem to live without. Without further ado, let's get started, shall we?
Sephora Color Lip Last
Shade: No. 6
Of course, I just put this in my last post about 6 must have lip products for fall, so obviously I'm loving this one currently. It's such a neutral color with a bit of a brown undertone. Great for everyday wear and no touch-ups necessary.
Melissa and Joey
Available on Neflix
Every night before bed, I normally just turn on some light-hearted comedy to fall asleep to and let it play in the background. I've gone through Baby Daddy, Young & Hungry, and a couple of others. Then I made my way to Melissa and Joey, and I was immediately hooked. I grew up loving Melissa Joan Hart with Sabrina the Teenage Witch and in Holiday in Handcuffs, and I love her even more in this. It's so funny, and the writing is actually super clever and sarcastic, which is right up my ally.
Honey Mustard Pringles
Anyone who knows me, knows how obsessed with honey mustard I am. I eat it with pretty much everything. Heck, sometimes I just eat bread with honey mustard dressing for lunch more often than I'd probably like to admit, haha. I might even go as far as to say I could drink the stuff. My point being, if something is honey mustard flavored, I'm all in! And these Pringles were not a disappointment. I'm not usually one to buy junk food or have chips in my house, but as long as I limit myself, these are such a nice snack to have around.
No. 7 Cleansing Balm
I believe the first time I heard of this product was on From Roses (seriously go check out her blog), and her rave review peaked my interest. I found this in Target and almost pulled one of those nah-I-don't-need-this-I'll-just-save-my-money moments, but instead I talked myself into it because it was on sale, and I'm so glad I did! I use this every night after I take off my makeup (or even if I'm not wearing makeup) then I wash it off in the shower. It removes any last traces of makeup and I can't explain how absolute clean and soft my skin feels afterwards. It honestly feels like such a luxury experience every time I use it.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick
Out of all the lipsticks I own, even out of all of the makeup products I own, this is probably the most impressive product I've ever purchased. It's the most beautiful classic shade of red, and once this stuff goes on, it does not move, which is hard to come by with anything red. I even took a nap, and when I woke up, it still looked perfect. The applicator makes it so easy to apply and I'm seriously putting some self-control into gear to not go back and buy 10 different colors.
Wet N' Wild Fergie Shimmer Palette
Shade: Rose Champagne Glow
I reviewed this last month in my Wet N' Wild Review, so I won't just repeat myself here, but basically, I've been loving what a nice glow this gives to the face in just seconds, and I've basically worn it every day I've attempted to look presentable.
Scent: Tobacco Leaf & Vanilla
I always used to be the type of person to love any fruity candles, and I still am, but recently I've found a love with anything with a musky or woodsy scent. I picked this up at Ross (partly because I liked the packaging) for only $2.99, which is super inexpensive for a candle, and I love it. I'm terrible at describing scents without basically saying it smells like uh...tobacco leaf and uh...vanilla, so I'll just leave it to what the packaging description says: "hand poured candle with notes of woody tobacoo combined with the natural scents of sweet vanilla. Well, I could have said that I guess. It's actually completely gone now and won't even light anymore, which makes me sad, because I would love to repurchase it.
I always seem to forget about music favorites each month, but I love finding new songs or rediscovering old ones. I was listening to a 90's alternative station on Pandora at the beginning of October, and the shuffle was just on point that day. I was bookmarking like every other song, and just had to download them. I've been listening to them nonstop ever since, so here they are:
Something to Remind You - Stain'd
Father of Mine - Everclear
Save Tonight - Eagle-Eye Cherry
Make Yourself - Incubus
Never Let You Go - Third Eye Blind
Best I Every Had - Vertical Horizon
I'll Be - Edwin McCain
Pardon Me - Incubus
