6 Must Have Lip Products for Fall
Cozy blankets, woodsy candles, crunchy leaves, chilly weather, dark lipsticks. Fall is definitely one of my favorite times of the year even if we're not exactly cold here in Louisiana yet. But there's no joking that I'm a complete lipstick junkie. So today I thought I'd bring to you my top 6 lip colors that are essential for fall.
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte
Shade: Lust for Blush
This range is definitely my favorite of matte lipsticks from the drugstore. This lipstick is so creamy and is one of the longest lasting drugstore products I own. Lust for Blush is just that. It's a deep dusty rose with a rust undertone to it. Such a perfect color for fall if you're a bit turned away by the deep berry shades.
Rimmel London Long Lasting Finish by Kate Moss
Any lip products by Kate Moss are always so worth the buy, not to mention they're typically only $4 or $5. They're extremely creamy and so pigmented. This shade is such a beautiful deep berry with a bit more red than purple tones to it. The best part though is that it's very buildable. So if you just want a light berry tone to your lips, just apply this lightly and build it up if you want a more pigmented lip!
Sephora Color Lip Last
Shade: No. 6
I went shopping for my birthday last weekend and told myself I was going to Sephora for the first time ever. There's so many things I wanted to try, but I ended up picking out this wonderful lip color and I'm amazed. It's the perfect nude brown with a pink undertone and is seriously the softest matte lip product I've ever applied. Not to mention this stuff does not budge!
Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil
As I mentioned above, I went to Sephora after my birthday and this lip pencil was a birthday gift for being a member of Sephora's Beauty Insider e-mail list. I was so excited when I received it because I just knew this color would be perfect for the upcoming months. Due to how small the tip is, it's very easy to apply around the outer corners of the lips and is such a gorgeous deep burgundy color without being too vampy.
Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wearing Lipstick
The most intriguing thing about these lipsticks is the applicator. It has a sponge tip so it's easy to apply a sheer layer or build it up to a deep color if need be. The name Fig is perfect to describe this color. It's a beautiful lavendar shade, but with the slightest brown undertone. However, I will say that these lipsticks take awhile to become become slightly drying after awhile.
Rimmel Show Off Matte Lip Velvet
Shade: 307 Meteoric Matte
I'm all about the liquid lipstck bandwagon right now and this shade is one of my favorites at the moment. This lip color is the typical perfect fall berry shade that is oh so popular around this time of year and the pigment is insane. Every time I use this, I'm always impressed by the doe foot applicator because it makes staying within the line of your lips soooo much easier. For a matte lip product, it's not drying and stays put pretty well. The only place I have a problem with it coming off is the center of my lips where they meet. If you don't mind retouching maybe once throughout the day, this product is perfect.comments powered by Disqus
